2009 Sparkling Pinot Chardonnay         $37.00
BREADY - MINERAL - SHARP - SUPPLE
It has been 3 years since our first release of sparkling.
A traditional method sparkling wine made from Pinot Noir
and Chardonnay grapes which were hand picked and
pressed immediately. The Pinot Noir for this variety comes from a special clone planted in the first 20 rows of the Mittagong vineyard. Traditional Method demands a
minimum of 9 months ageing “on lees” in the bottle.
This means that the wine is left in the bottle following a second fermentation and the yeast slowly breaks down adding a “bready” complexity prior to disgorging. Full of flavour and balanced by a smoothline of acidity, this
sparkling is perfect for gifts or celebration.

2010 Vendange Tardive Pinot Gris       $18.00
MARMALADE - VISCOUS - HONEY - SWEETNESS

In a style made famous in the Alsace region of France,
this is a new addition to the Marist repertoire. This wine
was harvested with a botrytis mould on the grapes. This mould, known as “noble rot”, enhances the concentration
and sweetness of the grapes by dehydration.
Water is sucked out of the grapes leaving the flavours and sweetness. Following fermentation we are left with a
viscous and succulent wine with fruity sweetness balanced by cool climate acidity. We are one of only a few vineyards producing this wine and it is certainly worth a try! Ready to drink or will develop complexity over the next 5 years.

12.0% alc./vol. (375mL) - Drink now or cellar 5 years.
