VISITING CLERGY

Visiting clergy who wish to minister to visiting groups at The Hermitage, which is in the Diocese of Wollongong, must have clearance from the Office of the Bishop prior to visiting The Hermitage. There are three alternative procedures for obtaining this clearance:

 

PROCEDURE 1:  Ministry Card (only for Priests from Broken Bay, Parramatta, Sydney)

  • Visiting Clergy should access and complete the following form: Ministry Card form
  • Any questions should be directed to Mary Hiscox at The Office of The Bishop on (02) 4222 2468 or email mary.hiscox@dow.org.au

OR

PROCEDURE 2: Australian Catholic Ministry Register (ACMR) for any Diocese in Australia

  • Visiting Clergy should access and complete the following form: ACMR form
  • Any questions should be directed to Mary Hiscox at The Office of The Bishop on (02) 4222 2468 or email mary.hiscox@dow.org.au

OR

PROCEDURE 3: Towards Healing (TH) Declaration and current Working With Children Check (WWCC)

  • Visiting Clergy are asked to provide The Office of the Bishop with their Towards Healing Declaration, Towards Healing Statement of Church Authority and current WWCC with their DOB. The first two forms can be accessed here: Visiting Clergy Notification to Bishop.pdf
  • Mary Hiscox at The Office of the Bishop will advise the visiting clergy and The Hermitage if their visit is approved or declined
  • This procedure is repeated each time the clergy visits The Hermitage at Mittagong
