Cook – Casual

The Hermitage is a spirituality Centre holding retreats and conferences within a peaceful and picturesque environment located on Old South Road Mittagong. It’s a place where school and adult groups attend for retreats. As the safety of children and young adults is paramount at The Hermitage, a Working with Children Check will need to be valid and available.

The applicant will need to be able to cook for a large number of guests and must be willing to work evenings and weekends. We have two operating commercial kitchens where the applicant could be rostered to.

The successful applicant could be required for up to three days a week.

Your keys to success:

• High level of attention to detail
• Ability to work autonomously
• Ability to follow dietary guidelines and accommodate special dietary needs
• Highly organised, with the ability to meet strict timelines
• Support the kitchen team with good time management skills
• Well-presented and friendly
• Ensuring kitchen and equipment cleaning protocols are adhered to
• Previous experience in a similar role is highly preferred
• Have a current WWCC
• Have own transport
